Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. She is widely credited with starting the modern science-based study of children's eyewitness memory and child victims as witnesses in lawful contexts. Professor Goodman is a prolific author and has been awarded numerous awards and grants. She works with a variety of countries and agencies around the globe regarding policy and the research of children's victimization within the court system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center - formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, such as those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child Policies and Practice.
